When he was 15 years old, he decided becomes a Shinto Priest. He studied at Kogakkan High School which is one of the Shinto High Schools, Ise, Mie-pref. Mr. Priest also studied at Atsuta-Jingu Shrine Shinto School, in Nagoya.
He graduated from Ritsumeikan Univiersity, Kyoto, where he majored Japanese history, especially history of Sectarian Shinto. He was ordained Shinto Priesthood “Meikai” degree at Shinto Stuides, Kokugakuin University, Tokyo. At the same time since he was 19 years old and for 8 years, he worked during New Year’s period as intern at the Fushimi-Inari-Taisha Shrine, Kyoto. From 1998 to present, he was working at the Kamigamo-Jinja Shrine (Kamo-wake-ikazuchi-jinja Shirne), Kyoto as Deputy Priest ((Gon-negi). This shrine is recognized as the World Heritage by UNESCO.
Currently, from Jan. 2003 to present, he is working at the International Shinto Foundation NY Center as Chief Officer. This center is recognized as non-profit organization by NY state, and Non Governmental Organization by United Nations. In this position, he is introducing Japanese cultural ceremony, event, and academic works to New York City.
He also has Deputy Tea ceremony teacher ((Jun-kyo-ju) as the Mushakoji-Senke Tea school that is one of the famous Tea school, so he has weekly tea lesson in his office. He is working as Secretary General at the Ritsumeikan University NY Alumni Association. He is also one of the supporter’s International supportive languages, Esperanto.
